Intensive Care Services has steadily improved the out comes of our patients. Improving mortality rates or patient outcomes is a difficult task in the intensive care unit as each and every team member must perform at a 100% or no improvement can occur. No detail has been overlooked in attempting to improve our services.

With the opening of our new state of the are Intensive Care Unit we are looking forward to continuing to improve on our already stellar performance. Team members are always learning and working to improve.

Dedication

Everyone in life devotes themselves to a cause. The cause is what matters in his or her life and sometimes, in other people’s lives as well.

It does not really matter who you are or what you do until the cause you devoted your life to, matters to other people’s lives.

It is not clear if it is the cause or the number of people whose lives are affected by that cause, which would contribute to the importance and popularity of that cause, that person’s life, that person or all people’s lives or is it just what destiny is meant to be?

We devote our walk to God, then to people and then to the good cause of Medicine.

Developing ICU Staff ... FCCS

FCCS courses help to strengthen staff confidence and teach valuable skills. Insight is often gained by the staff members regarding the difficulty of critical care procedures which helps them to better understand and anticipate the Intensivists needs.

Nurses and Respiratory Therapists gain valuable hands on experience with ICU equipment and are taught to think of the many aspects of patient care. An added benefit of the FCCS courses is that team building occurs and the staff performs better as a unit.
