Dr. Mohammad Nadeem Sheikh was born in Bombay, now called Mumbai. I opened my eyes in a middle-class family. I am the eldest son in the family with one younger sister and two younger brothers. I saw all the ups and downs and struggles of a typical middle class family. My father was a teacher in one of the well known schools in Mumbai. I finished my schooling in Mumbai. I was a shy little boy in my school age but allhamdollilah, I was good in study. I was a top ranker in my school in the 10th standard and state topper in Arabic language. I completed my board MD (internal medicine) in 2004, and completed my short residency in neurology at the Institute of Human Behavioral and Allied Science in New Delhi. I got opportunity to work with personalities such as Dr. Naresh Trehan at the Escort Heart Institute. I completed my 2 year fellowship in cardiology at the Escort Heart Institute in New Delhi in 2006. I also enjoyed politics during my college days and was elected unopposed for the post of general secretary and convener for the Doctors Association Organization. I love to debate and speak about political and social issues including the rights of women and racial injustice.

My father played a significant role in my life. He made me a perfect man and helped me to learn how to love myself and my loved ones. Unfortunately he passed away just before I left for Saudi Arabia (innalillah...). However, his blessings are still with both me and my family. My mother stood as a hard rock and anchor to support our family. She tied all of us in one rope to live together forever and ever. My wife (Dr. Nida) helped me learn how to overcome the ups and down of life especially when everyone around you seems to lose faith in you.

I migrated to Saudi Arabia in 2007 and joined RMH. Allhamdollillah I am enjoying the work and noble services to my nice and gentle patients, may allah bless them all. Here I got the opportunity to visit Harmain, a dream for every Muslim to see at least once in their lifetime. There, I was resurrected to a new life and I received the different prospectives to see all of the events that are happening around me. My prayers were answered when I got the biggest gift in this country, my son was born here in this hospital on 24th February, 2008.

Inshaallah, I will continue to work with dedication and hard effort towards my patients. May Allah give me strength and courage to fulfill the expectations and demands of my patients, ameen.
